COVID-19 Vaccine Information – Vaccination Data

What is the global situation now?

The data on confirmed cases only becomes meaningful when it can be interpreted in light of how much a country is testing. This is why we built the global database on COVID-19 testing (Data Below). You can switch to the testing data right in this chart.

Particularly informative is the metric ‘share of positive tests’ – which shows you the share of tests that are confirming a case. This rate should ideally be very low. If it is high a country is likely not identifying a large share of cases. If it is low then a country tests in proportion with the size of its outbreak and the number of confirmed cases is closer to the number of total cases.

Country-by-country data on COVID-19 vaccinations

How many COVID-19 vaccine doses are administered daily?

The following chart shows the daily number of COVID-19 vaccination doses administered per 100 people. This is shown as the rolling seven-day average. Note that this is counted as a single dose, and may not equal the total number of people vaccinated, depending on the specific dose regime (e.g. people receive multiple doses).

What share of the population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?

What share of the population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19?

The above chart shows the share of the total population that has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This represents the share that have received all doses prescribed by the vaccination protocol. If a person receives the first dose of a 2-dose vaccine, this metric stays the same. If they receive the second dose, the metric goes up by 1.

This data is only available for countries which report the breakdown of doses administered by first and second doses.
